8th International congress of Fez on History of Médicine: History of Epidemics

17-18 December 2020 | The Heritage Committee of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry in Fez organized the Eighth Fez Forum for the History of Medicine on the topic: “History of Epidemics.” The topic came to evoke the history of epidemics and pandemics witnessed by the Arab-Islamic civilization.

The conference was also distinguished during this year by the fact that it was a remote conference due to the epidemiological situation that our country is witnessing. This important scientific forum, which was hosted by the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry in Fez, affiliated with the University of Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdullah, witnessed the participation of participants from the Arab and Islamic world. The scientific program also shed light on the history of epidemics and pandemics witnessed by the Arab-Islamic civilization, epidemics and hospitalization in the history of Morocco. A presentation was also presented on the typhus epidemic in Morocco, a live testimony from Professor Mustafa Mishish Al-Alami, and the flags of Moroccan Andalusian epidemiological heritage medical treatises were also discussed. – Persuasive questioner about the massive illness of Ibn al-Khatib and other related topics.
