The establishment of the Sheikh Saleh Sarfi Chair comes within the framework of the partnership linking the Al-Maddad Foundation for Heritage, Culture and Arts and the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry in Fez. The establishment of this chair aims to enhance and strengthen research in the field of Arab-Islamic medical heritage by motivating researchers to dive into this sea of precious pearls. The chair allocates a grant for the most important ongoing research on this subject and allocates a prize for the best annual publication in the field of the history of Arab-Islamic medicine. The Sheikh Saleh Serafi Chair also aims to form and disseminate knowledge by offering seminars and workshops for student researchers and specialized professors.
